Yuchen Li (Moxi) is a London-based visual artist, whose practice centers on photography, exploring the intricate intersections of trauma psychology, memory fragments, and corporal experience. She earned her BA in Visual Communication Design from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and her MA in Fashion Photography from University of the Arts London, graduating with Distinction across both degrees.

Her practice is uniquely informed by her role as an educator in special education and her involvement in art therapy. She seeks to create "spaces where tenderness can survive," translating subtle emotional traces into luminous visual metaphors. Her award-winning work has been exhibited in major art hubs including London, Edinburgh, and Shanghai.

ARTIST STATEMENTYuchen Li (Moxi) is an multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice centers on photography, exploring the intricate intersections of trauma psychology, memory fragments, and corporal experience.

Influenced by the aesthetics of restraint and the imagistic traditions of Chinese literature, Li eschews direct narrative in favor of nuanced, profound metaphors. She transforms psychological pressures and traces of hidden trauma into a resilient visual language—much like white flowers blooming silently from healed wounds.

For her, “Art creates spaces where tenderness can survive.” Her imagery offers no definitive answers but instead constructs a fluid field filled with the rhythm of breathing. Through these delicate yet luminous expressions, she invites viewers to linger in contemplation, touching upon hidden emotions and experiencing a sense of quiet, steadfast healing through the reconstruction of resonance.
